Rajat Pratap Shah sealed victory for the mayoral post in Krishnanagar Municipality by securing 7,328 votes against his closest contender Shiva Prasad Kalwar of the CPN (Maoist Centre). He garnered 3,205 votes. Maoist Centre’s Janaki Yadav was elected deputy mayor with 3, 411 votes.
Similarly, Nisar Ahmed Khan was elected chairperson of the Sudhodhan Rural Municipality.
He defeated Bishwomver Kurmi of Nepali Congress to become chairperson the rural municipality.
Khan mustered 1,837 votes while Kurmi secured 1,763 votes.
Likewise, Suda Devi Pandey was elected vice-chair of the rural municipality by securing 2,635 votes against her closest contender Bimala Kurmi. The candidate of Naya Shakti Nepal-Sanghiya Samaj Forum alliance accumulated 1, 764 votes.
