Land ownership certificates distributed in Korala

The land has been provided to immigration office, customs office and security agencies to expand trade with China.
Nepal Army has been provided 2,171 ropanis of land at Thurling in Lomanthang-5.
Similarly, 109 ropanis of land has been provided to Mustang Customs Office in Lomanthang.
Likewise, 13.6 ropanis of land has been provided to the District Police Office, Mustang, 33. 11 ropanis of land to the Armed Police Force (APF) and 12.7 ropanis of land to the immigration office.
It has been learnt that a dry port will also constructed in the land of customs office.
Mustang District Judge Bal Ram Tripathi and Chief District Office Ram Chandra Tiwari handed the land ownership certificates to the heads of concerned offices amid a function yesterday.
Nepal Army Lieutenant Coloel Surendra Dev Bogati, CDO Tiwari, Nepal Police DSP Hariharnath Yogi, APF DSP Dev Raj Joshi and Customs Office Chief Sukradarshan Dhungana received the land ownershp certificates on behalf of their respective offices.
They informed that a road has also been constructed to build necessary infrastructure in Korala.
“This is just the beginning for the operation of border point,” CDO Tiwari.
The concerned offices had not constructed necessary infrastructure due to lack of land until now.
The offices of security agencies and other government offices have been operating their works from Jomsom.
Though Nepal and China had made an agreement in December 2003 to operate the border point, but the northern neighbour has been blocking the border point citing security problems.
