RJP-N leaders in Baluwatar to discuss upcoming elections, amendment process

The meeting was summoned by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
The RJP-N, formed after the unification of six Madhes-based parties, had finally registered itself at the EC this afternoon.
The registration of the RJN-N with the EC has paved the way for the party to contest the third phase of local level election slated for September 18 and get the election symbol.
Earlier, the party had failed to forge at consensus to register at the EC after leader Anil Kumar Jha, a member of the RJP-N, refused to sign the statute without including the name of Gajendra Narayan Singh—the founder of Sadbhawana Party in the preamble of the statute.
