Nepal, Australian sign MoU on consultation mechanism

The MoU, signed on Friday, is aimed at exchanging views on mutual interests and common international issues, according to a statement by the Embassy of Nepal in Australia. Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, who is currently in Australia, and Acting Foreign Secretary of Australia Gary Quinlan signed the MoU amid a function in the Australian capital.
Briefing the Australian side on the current socio-political and economic condition of Nepal, Foreign Secretary Bairagi urged Australian entrepreneurs to invest in Nepal.
Australian Acting Foreign Secretary Quinlan shared that Australia was always positive about increasing the volume of its trade and investment in Nepal.
Quinlan also enquired about the post-quake projects in Nepal. The meeting of the mechanism will take place every two years.
