Police have arrested two persons on charges of slaughtering cow, national animal of the country, from Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan CITY-24 in Kaski.
Cow slaughter is punishable under the new constitution of Nepal.
Local residents Ram Bahadur Nepali and Krishna Nepali were held, acting on a tip-off, said inspector Bishwo Bandhu Pokharel, adding that head of the slaughtered cow, its legs and fresh fleshes were recovered from the incident site in nearby forest. RSS
