Hello Sarkar is a government-run grievance redressal mechanism where the general public can register their complaints.
The Ministry of Livestock Development addressed all 160 complaints related to it, said Upadhyay. People had filed complaints related to livestock health insurance and animal husbandry among others. The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has addressed the least number of complaints, according to Hello Sarkar records.
Out of 123 complaints filed, the CIAA addressed only 42 complaints—around 34.15 percent, said Upadhyay.
Hello Sarkar, according to Upadhyay, has addressed 81.76 percent of complaints so far. Hello Sarkar, launched on November 5, 2011, has so far addressed 56,759 complaints while 7,491 are yet to be addressed, according to Upadhyay.
Public complaints filed at Hello Sarkar are categorised into high priority, priority and general groups depending on their nature and they are addressed accordingly, officials said.
Similarly, the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development has responded to 99.83 percent complaints, the Higher Education Council (98.58pc), Nepal Telecom (98.41pc) and the TU (97.82 pc) of complaints, according to the Hello Sarkar data.
