An interaction programme on author Shyam Singak’s book Remitland, which explores the various dimensions of life of migrant workers and their relationship with family, was held in Dharan recently. Speaking at the event, author Manjil applauded author Singak for capturing the reality of the migrant workers in the book. “The author has raised question to the whole nation about its system through this book. This book shows the physical and mental impacts that migration brings about,” Manjil said. While poet Aabhas said, “The writer has been able to portray the physical and metaphysical states of the migrant workers and of the society alike.
