One dies of swine flu, four others from unknown disease in Palpa

An elderly man from Palpa district has died of swine flu in course of treatment at the Vayodha Hospital in Balkhu, Kathmandu, on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Man Bahadur Chidi, 74, of Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-3.
The hospital confirmed that Chidi died of the H1N1 virus.
Meanwhile, four others undergoing treatment at the Lumbini Medical College, Palpa, have died.
They were suffering from fever, throat pain, dry cough and diarrhoea, but the reason behind the death is yet to be ascertained, according to Madhav Gyawali, Information Officer of the District Public Health Office, Palpa.
The deceased have been identified as Chandra Rana, 28, of Kaseni, Madhagadhi Rural Municipality, Basanti Kunwar,67, of Jhadewa in the same municipality, Man Bahadur Kumar , 65, of Siddheswar, Rainadevi Chahara Rural Municipality and Anita Bista, 16, of Madane-1, Gulmi.
