Petro dealers withdraw protest programmes

The Association withdrew the protest programmes after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Operation Committee decided to provide additional 10 litre compensation while transporting petroleum products from Thankot depot.
Now, the petroleum dealers would get 45 litres and 27 litres compensation on the purchase of each 4,000 litres tanker of petrol and diesel respectively from the NOC. Earlier, they used to get 35 litres of petrol and 24 litres of diesel.
“We have withdrawn all our protest programmes and started transporting petroleum products,” Association Chairman Lilendra Pradhan said, adding, “Now, the supply will be eased.”
The petroleum dealers on Wednesday had announced fresh protest programmes demanding increment in technical loss the petroleum dealers have been facing while transporting the petroleum products.
