Aug 12, 2017-

Foreigners working in airline companies in Nepal can now repatriate up to 75 percent of their net income to their home countries.

This facility, according to the Nepal Rastra Bank, is available to all foreigners working legally in airline companies in Nepal.

A directive issued by the NRB says banks and financial institutions should provide foreign exchange facility to such staff upon submission of following documents: application letter, recommendation letter provided by the employer, copy of work permit, identity card and appointment letter, evidence of tax clearance, and copy of valid visa for foreigners other than Indians.

It is not known how many foreigners are working in airline companies in Nepal.

The NRB has also allowed hotels to provide foreign exchange facility of up to $300, or its equivalent in other convertible currency, to every tourist during each stay.
