The Prime Minister official twitter handle posted a tweet that read: “I feel honoured to have received a telephone call from India's PM Shri @narendramodi jee today.”
PM Deuba expressed his sincere gratitude for India’s pledge of Rs400 million in cash and in-kind as flood relief.

The floods and landslides triggered by torrential rainfall wreaked colossal havoc in the country that took 135 lives and rendered hundreds of families homeless.
Floodwaters have wiped out Rs 8.11 billion worth of crops as the country suffered record floods from August 11-14 that inundated 31 districts.
