President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has withdrawn the attention of political leaders over the issue of rescue and relief to floods and landslides victims, constitution amendment and foreign policy.President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has withdrawn the attention of political leaders over the issue of rescue and relief to floods and landslides victims, constitution amendment and foreign policy.
Bhandari urged leaders to put the rescue and relief distribution to the floods and landslides affected, putting up temporary settlements for those who lost their houses in floods and making efforts to control or prevent outbreak of diseases in flood-affected areas in priority list.
President Bhandari made such request to the leaders of coalition partners Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center) during a meeting at her office in Sheetal Niwas.
NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel said president was for bringing medieval and long-term plans to mitigate the damage caused by floods and landslides.
Poudel said Bhandari also withdrew the government attention towards the issue of constitution amendment and country's foreign policy.
PM Sher Bahadur Deuba, leader Poudel, CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, leader Bamdev Gautam and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha were present in the meeting.
