Visiting Nepali Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi held a brief meeting on Wednesday, a day ahead of the delegation level meeting between the two PMs.
Although PM Deuba was scheduled to meet his Indian counterpart on Thursday, PM Modi invited Deuba over tea today itself, officials at the Nepali Embassy said.

The one-on-one meeting between two prime ministers dwelt on the issues of bilateral relations and improving political ties, said Nepali Ambassador to India, Deep Kumar Upadhyay.
The meeting between the two PMs has surprised many as they were supposed to meet only on Thursday.
PM Deuba, who is on a five-day state visit to India, reached New Delhi this afternoon. Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj received him at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Deuba attended a programme in New Delhi-based Nepali Embassy today where he addressed the Nepali community in India and business event organised by the Associated Chambers of Commerce & Industry of India (ASSOCHAM).
