Campaign underway to raise funds to save cancer-stricken man
A campaign is underway to raise funds for the treatment of an elderly man from Hokse bazar in Panchkhal Municipality-8, Kavrepalanchok district who is suffering from Esophagus cancer and comes from a poverty-stricken family.A campaign is underway to raise funds for the treatment of an elderly man from Hokse bazar in Panchkhal Municipality-8, Kavrepalanchok district who is suffering from Esophagus cancer and comes from a poverty-stricken family.
67-year-old Tej Bahadur Thapa, the only bread-earner of the family suffered from carcinoma esophagus, cancer arising from the food pipe that runs between the throat and the stomach, which has increased financial burden to his family.
Shree Maya Thapa, his wife, says it will take at least one million rupees for Thapa’s treatment. The family is in dilemma on how to continue the treatment.
The family has already spent Rs 400,000 on chemo therapy. Thapa is undergoing treatment at the Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital.
The family has also appealed for financial assistance for the treatment. They have setup a bank account (Himalayan Bank, Maharajgunj Branch—Acc no: 00202952340017) where well wishers can deposit amount for financial support.
