Govt reshuffles CDOs in 20 districts
The Ministry of Home Affairs has shuffled Chief Districts Officers (CDOs) of 20 districts except in province 2. Those deputed as CDO includes 13 secretaries and seven under secretaries.The Ministry of Home Affairs has shuffled Chief Districts Officers (CDOs) of 20 districts except in province 2. Those deputed as CDO includes 13 secretaries and seven under secretaries.
The ministry decision has deputed new CDOs to Makwanpur, Sindhupalchok, Surkhet, Bardiya, Lalitpur, Ilam, Baglung, Udaypur, Kapilvastu, Jumla, Ramechhap, Dailekh, Kalikot, Baitadi, Bhojpur, Panchthar, Manang, Jajarkot, Khotang and Achham districts.
Likewise, two deputy CDOs of Kathmandu and one each of Parsa, Bhaktapur, Kaski and Sindhupalchok have been transferred.
Home Minister Janardhan Sharma took the decision to transfer the CDOs in less than three months of his tenure. The ministry has been criticised for transferring the officials in a short span of time without any reason.
