The former Prime Minister said that it was unfortunate that Indian Embassy has not removed its field office from Biratnagar despite the Nepal government’s order.
The government issued a directive when Maoist Centre’s leader Narayankaji Shrestha was the Minister for Foreign Affairs. He said that it was miserable that the directive has not been implemented yet.
Moreover, he said that Maoist Centre’s priority was to forge electoral alliance with the Madhesi parties in the third phase of local level election slated for September 18 in Province 2.
Dahal took exception to remarks made by Prime Minister Deuba in New Delhi on Thursday.
“Constitution amendment is the internal matter of Nepal. Parliament has already settled it and therefore it was not necessary to raise the issue again in the foreign land,” said Dahal, adding, “It was wrong to express commitment to amend the constitution in India when the amendment proposal has already been rejected by the Parliament.”
