The NADA Auto Show, the country’s biggest and most-awaited automobile exhibition, kicked off on Tuesday at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu. The six-day extravaganza was inaugurated by Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Bir Bahadur Balayar. 

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Balayar said: “The automobile sector has played an important role in the country’s economic development. The government is serious about promoting the sector.”

The 12th edition of the auto show is jointly organised by the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, an umbrella body of automobile traders, and Global Exposition and Management Services. It is expected to draw around 50,000 visitors, including auto enthusiasts and traders, suppliers of automobile accessories and ordinary citizens looking forward to buying a four- or two-wheeler.

NADA Auto Show is the most comprehensive automobile exhibition where people can exchange information about auto brands, bank finance options, lubricants, spare parts, batteries, tyres, vehicle security technology, garage equipment and other auto components. This makes the expo a one-stop shop where one can book vehicles, weigh various financing options, and compare features of various two- and four-wheelers, accessories, parts and components.

These products and services are being showcased by 90 different companies at the exhibition. This includes 16 brands of four-wheelers, 19 brands of two-wheelers 

and six brands of heavy-duty vehicles.

The NADA Auto Show is not only promoting the automobile sector, but is also working for the benefit of flood victims. The NADA Automobiles Association 

of Nepal will contribute Rs1 million from the proceeds of the exhibition to flood victims.
