Kidnapped child rescued in Dhading

Sep 7, 2017-A two-year-old child, who was kidnapped from Chipledhunga of Pokhara, was rescued from Dhading district on Wednesday.  Police rescued Roshani Bhujel unharmed from Simle Bazaar of Thakre Rural Municipality along the East-West highway.

Locals informed the police after spotting the child loitering in the market area. Police have arrested Santosh Sapkota, 27, a resident of Dhunibesi Municipility, who brought the child to Dhading.  He had brought the child to Dhading from Pokhara on September 5.

Sapkota has admitted to the police that he kidnapped the child of one Manju Bhujel, a scrap collector based in Chipledhunga, on the pretext of looking after her during the day time.

Local police have handed over both child and kidnapper to Baireni Police. The child has been kept at Galchhi police post, while the police have been investigating about Sapkota. Police have suspected that the man could have mental disorder.

The police are preparing to send both the child and Sapkota to District Police Office Kaski for necessary legal action.
