The festival is being organised to commemorate the sixth anniversary of E-Arts Nepal-an online art gallery which has been actively promoting Nepali paintings and sculptures internationally.
According to the organisers, the festival aims to not only create an annual art event before the onset of Dashain, but is also seeking to encourage private individuals and Nepali corporate houses to invest in art. Promoting “Arts as an Investment”, the organisers said, has been one of E-Arts Nepal’s central objectives.
Himalaya Art Festival 2074 will feature a host of contemporary artists alongside established names, such as Madan Chitrakar, Hitman Gurung, Ragini Upadhyay, Meena Kayastha and Sheelasha Rajbhandari.
The show will continue through September 11.
