One dies of swine flu in Kavre

Chandani Newa, 40, of Panauti-7, died of the flu virus during the course of treatment at Dhulhikhel Hospital, said Dr Ram Gurung, Chief at Internal Medicine of the Hospital confirmed.
She was admitted to the hospital after suffering from common cold and fever on September 9.
Dr Gurung informed that Newa was directly admitted to the ICU as her condition was critical.
This is the second death from swine flu in the district.
According to Dr Arjun Sapkota, Chief at District Health Office, Kavre, Thuli Danuwar of Panchkal-12 was the first victim to die from virus in the district.
Cough, fever, headache, sore throat, muscle pain, vomiting or diarrhoea are common symptoms of swine flu. Doctors have said if anyone develops one of these symptoms, he/she should immediately seek medical attention.
At least 30 people have succumbed to the disease in Nepal since 2009.
