Man shot dead in Rautahat; two suspects arrested

Police identified the victim as Sheikh Abbu Soheb. The deceased is the son of Sheikh Sherajuddin, the Nepali Congress ward chairman candidate during the third phase of local level elections held on September 18.
According to police, the assailants shot at the victim while he was asleep in the courtyard of his house at around 4am.
Soheb, who was shot at his chest and abdomen, breathed his last while being rushed to District Hospital in Gaur.
The body was handed over to the family after carrying out postmortem at the District Hospital.
Police has arrested two persons for their alleged involvement in the incident.
Superintendent of Police Yagyabinod Pokharel said the investigation suggested that the two suspects had shot Soheb out of personal enmity.
