Five dengue patients found in Mahottari

According to the Public Health Officer Min Bahadur Sen of the Bardias Hospital, five patients including Chief of Gauribas Health Post Mahendra Shah were tested positive for dengu virus.
Kishore Bhattarai, 38, of Bardibas Municipality-1, Pramila Karki, 30, of Bardibas Municipality-2, Khin Maya Pokharel, 60, of Bardibas Municipality-5 and Khur Haru Adhikari, 40, of Bardibas Municipality-14 were tested positive for dengue virus.
Minister for Health Giriraj Mani Pokharel, who is currently in his hometown in Mahottari, has already instructed the chief of the concerned authorities to do needful to control the spread of virus, according to the District Public Health Office, Mahottari.
Dengue is an infectious disease usually contracted from mosquitoes belonging to the Aedes Aegypti genus. Its symptoms range from mild fever to incapacitating high fever, with severe headache, pain in muscles and joints, and rashes.
