If the last episode saw plenty of intrigue with two wildcard entries joining up with the crew once more and no one getting eliminated, this episode—the 14th of the show—was another classic Himalaya Roadies iteration that promised surprises that keeps you on the edge.
The show got onto a heart warming start with the aspiring Roadies, who have been away from home and family for weeks on end, being able to call home for the first time. But that’s where the fuzzy feelings ended.
The task for this episode was not a test of physical strength or mental endurance, but rather the community spirit of the participants.
Termed the “community task”, the Roadies descended onto local homes in Sauraha where they undertook several jobs for the day, including doing dishes, washing clothes and polishing walls and floors with red mud.
The contestants could have earned a total of Rs 400,000 at the event, but ended up raking just Rs 150,000—with contestant Animesh Sahi raking in the most money.
That brings the total pot of money the eventual winner will walk away at Rs 630,000.
In the eventual vote-outs, contestant Ranjana Bhattarai who had earlier won immunity had the extra bonus of saving one other person from elimination—for which she picked the wildcard entry Riya Swar.
Eventually, Sonangita Adhikari—long considered one of the weakest links among the contestants—was voted out.
That leaves seven contestants now vying for the chance to become the first ever Himalaya Roadies.
