The National Seismological Centre has stated that a tremor measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale occurred at 2:4 am Wednesday.
The epicentre of the tremor was located north of the New Bus Park (Gongabu), Kathmandu, and the tremor was an aftershock of the Gorkha Earthquake of April 25, 2015, according to the Centre's seismologist, Mukunda Bhattarai.
The Gorkha Earthquake has been followed by 487 aftershocks of 4 or more Richter scale so far. Thousands of aftershocks measuring less than 4 on the Richter scale have been recorded so far. Bhattarai said aftershocks less than 4 Richter scale do not have much impact.
