Addressing the parliamentary party meeting on Saturday morning, the former prime minister said, “Our alliance with CPN-UML for upcoming elections and subsequent unification is the broader strategy to make one single communist center in Nepal. This does not affect government. We do not want to hamper the elections in the offing.”
Dahal however said that if Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba tells him to quit from the current coalition government, his party was ready to do so.
Dahal said that although unification with UML and Naya Shakti has been agreed in principle, the leaders are yet to discuss ideological unison.
He said that the unification process can reach to a logical conclusion only after discussing ideological, political and organisational aspects of the unified party.
