DPO charging exorbitant price in application forms of Myadi police

The DPO has been printing the forms on its own and selling them through local traders. It is learnt that the traders are selling the two-page form including a ticket for Rs 50.
The forms are being sold from stationary shops and groceries nearby the DPO.
The aspiring Myadi police said that they have to pay up to Rs 50 to fill up the forms.
“We have to pay Rs 50 for a form, a ticket and a file,” Dashrath Chand and Naresh Chand said.
The DPO said that no provision hinted at distributing the forms for free therefore it has asked local traders to distribute the forms at certain price.
Police Inspector Surendra Bam said that although traders assured them of selling the form and file for Rs 30, they had no information of charging Rs50.
It is learnt the DPO has contracted a local press to print 2,000 forms.
The application for the Myadi police started from Tuesday. The last day to submit forms is Monday.
The DPO said that 1,500 people have submitted the form as of 1 pm today.
