Both sides shared a point each after the match was called off.
Nepal lies sixth on the table with nine points from 12 matches while Hong Kong is 4th on the table with 14 points from as many games. Nepal will now play against UAE in the final stage of the championship.
The top four sides of the championship will play the World Cup Qualifiers while the bottom four sides are relegated to Division II.
The match was pushed for today after Sunday's match was cancelled by rain.
After getting relegated, Nepal will now play in Division II to be orgainsed in Namibia in February, 2018. The top two sides in the competition will reach the World Cup Qualifiers.
