PM Deuba holds telephone talks with Dr KC, assures to address demands

It has been learnt that Dr KC is likely to end his hunger strike today itself after PM Deuba, during the telephone conversation, expressed his commitment to address his demands. Dr KC’s hunger strike entered 14th day today.
The crusader has been staging his 13th hunger strike since October 5 putting forth a four-point demand that includes endorsement of the bill by incorporating suggestions from experts. This includes a 10-year moratorium on the establishment of new medical colleges in Kathmandu Valley.
Dr KC has also demanded that all medical schools should comply with the fee structure set by the government. Besides, the crusader has asked for an investigation into the embezzlement of billions of rupees by Nepal Oil Corporation chief Gopal Bahadur Khadka.
