7 killed, 24 injured in separate road accidents

A passenger bus swerved off the road and fell some 150 metres at Baddikedra Rural Municipality in Doti, killing three persons and injuring 21 others. The vehicle (Na 3 Kha 5648) was heading to Dhangadi from Attarkada carrying 24 passengers.
Police identified the deceased as Jagadish Chand, Nirmala Pun Magar and Pushpa Kumari Jethara of Baddikedar-4. The injured have been taken to Dhangadi for treatment, said police. The fatal crash happened along the rural road which is known as Bogatan road. The road stretch that was obstructed during rainy season came
into operation only a few weeks ago.
In Nawalparasi, two persons died when a speeding motorcycle hit a stationary truck at Danda along the East-West Highway on Thursday morning. According to the District Traffic Police Office, Prakash Mahato and Anil Mahato of Madhyabindu Municipality-6 died in the incident.
Seriously injured Mahato duo died while undergoing treatment at Purano Medical College in Bharatpur.
Similarly, two persons died in separate road mishaps in Sunsari district. Puntosh Chaudhary of Duhabi Bhaluwa-4 died when a truck with an Indian registration number hit his motorcycle. Two others who were riding the same bike sustained injuries. Likewise, Upen Ghimire of Ramdhuni-4 died when two motorcycles collided in Itahari Sub-metropolis-17.
