No complaints filed against Manange’s nomination
No complaints have been registered at the Office of Chief Election Officer in Manang district against the candidacy of gangster Rajiv Gurung alias Deepak Manange for the upcoming federal and provincial elections.No complaints have been registered at the Office of Chief Election Officer in Manang district against the candidacy of gangster Rajiv Gurung alias Deepak Manange for the upcoming federal and provincial elections.
Gurung, a CPN-UML cadre, had filed his nomination as independent candidate for upcoming election from Manang district on October 22 following UML central office’s refusal to provide election ticket to him despite the party's district committee office unanimously recommending him for the candidacy.
Chief election officer and district Justice Dipak Dhakal informed that Gurung’s candidacy has been upheld as there were no complaints against his nomination.
Meanwhile, UML has fielded Polden Chopang Gurung as its candidate for the upcoming elections slated for November 26 and December 7.
Manange had entered CPN-UML a few weeks ago.
