Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the left alliance has posed a threat to democracy and urged the party cadres to be united to safeguard it.

Speaking at a programme organised to mark the 64th establishment day of Tarun Dal, a sister wing of NC, PM Deuba said that the left alliance is not only a challenge but also an opportunity for the NC.

“Be ready to make the Nepali Congress victorious in the upcoming elections by turning the challenge into the opportunity,” he said, adding, “No force can stop the Nepali Congress from being the largest political force in the upcoming elections if the party gets united.”

On the occasion, he directed the Turun Dal youths to be ready to retaliate against the left alliance.

Meanwhile, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel was of the opinion that the country would head towards the path of atrocity if the party failed to defeat the left alliance in the parliamentary and provincial elections slated for November 26 and December 7.
