3 held for taking bribe in Myadi recruitment exam
Police have arrested three persons for allegedly receiving bribe from youths aspiring to be recruited as Myadi police (temporary police) personnel. According to DSP Ganesh Regmi, the accused have been identified as Hari Narayan Ram, Bishun Dev Prasad Yadav and Chathu Mahara Chamar of Bahodaramai Municipality, Parsa.
They were made public amid a press conference at the District Police Office, Parsa on Tuesday.
The selection process of Myadi police personnel for the parliamentary and provincial elections slated for November 26 and December 7 is going on.
Police said that they were arrested from near the District Police Office on Monday evening while they were collecting entrance cards from the aspiring Myadi police.
DSP Regmi said that the trio were arrested acting on a tip-off.
Police said that they have confiscated 42 entrance cards, Rs 37,000 in cash and heath reports from the arrestees.
