Pabson Chairman Sambahamphe returns to NC

Sambahamphe, also the advisor of the Maoist Centre, will contest the provincial election from Terhathum constituency ‘Kha’ under the FPTP category.
Sambahamphe, who had joined Maoist Centre by severing ties with Nepali Congress (NC) five years ago, had joined NC on Tuesday evening.
District President Govinda Dhungana said that Sambahamphe has been unanimously made the candidate of ‘Kha’ constituency in the provincial election.
NC President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba welcomed Sambahamphe amid a function at Baluwatar on Tuesday.
Sambahamphe had played an instrument role to make NC victorious in the first Constituent Assembly election. He was the treasurer of district working committee of the party.
He had joined the Maoist Centre ahead of the second Constituent Assembly election.
The nominations of NC central member Sita Gurung and left alliance Bhawani Prasad Khapung have been fixed for the parliamentary elections under the FPTP category from the district.
Gurung is Minister of State for the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
Khapung was elected under the FPTP category in the erstwhile Constituent Assembly election.
Similarly, NC district President Govinda Dhungana and left alliance district Chairman Laxman Tiwari will contest the provincial election from Terhathum constituency ‘Ka’.
CPN-UML former district Chairman Tejman Kandangwa will contest the election from Terhathum constituency ‘Kha’.
