PM urges Election Commissioners to make voters' education effective

The Prime Minister met Election Commissioners at his official residence in Baluwatar on Friday and said that voting right is the most important aspect of democracy and urged the commissioners to manage the election activities in such a way that will lead to high voters’ turnout and minimum wastage of votes.
“I urge you to prepare such environment where voters can exercise their constitutional rights independently,” PM told the commissioners, adding, “Conduct the voters’ education effectively so that no voter will have to remain in dilemma while casting vote.”
PM Deuba, also the President of ruling Nepali Congress, said that he is ready to extend any kind of help needed for elections round the clock.
“It is due to the PM’s sheer determination that local polls were wrapped up successfully and upcoming federal parliamentary and provincial assembly elections are about to happen,” Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav said during the meeting, adding, “I would like to extend special thanks on behalf of the Election Commission.”
CEC Yadav, Election Commissioners Ishwori Poudel, Ila Sharma, Sudhir Kumar Sah and EC Secretary Begendra Sharma were present in the meeting called by PM Deuba.
