CPN (Maoist Centre) leader and minister without portfolio Giriraj Mani Pokharel has remarked that CPN-UML will emerge as the largest political force after the upcoming parliamentary and provincial elections. He urged the people not cast doubt on the same.

“CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Centre) will be the first and second political parties respectively in the parliamentary and provincial elections slated for November 26 and December 7,” claimed Pokharel, adding, “Nepali Congress which is intimidated of the left alliance will be the third party.”

He accused Prime Minister of showing the character of authoritarianism by stripping the portfolios of Maoist centre ministers against the constitution.

Saying that it is the weakness of Nepali Congress (NC) leadership to term the left alliance of CPN-UML and Maoist Centre as authoritarian by converting Cabinet members as ministers without portfolio, he accused the NC of trying to capture the resources after being unable to tolerate the alliance of two parties.

Pokharel, also the candidate of Mahottari constituency-1 in the parliamentary election, said that NC lags behind UML and Maoist Centre in the upcoming elections which are scheduled to be held in two phases.
