Nov 13, 2017-

Normal life in Rolpa district has been affected due to a bandh enforced by Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist.

The Rolpa Bazaar has been closed since this morning.

Educational institutions, markets and shops pulled down their shutters from early morning, while public and private vehicles stayed off the roads.

CPN Maoist Rolpa said that the bandh was called against the arrest of its district In-charge Dal Bahadur Khatri and Secretary Santosh Subedi among others.

Yagyashwor Acharya representing the Jaljala Transport Entrepreneurs' Committee said vehicles used for both long and short routes have been left inoperative due to the bandh.

Although there are no cadres and leaders of the party seen on the street, the activities in the district are badly affected.

People in the district have been left panic stricken after former Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun was attacked during the election campaigning on Saturday and Sunday. RSS
