Addressing an election campaign at Gauradaha of Jhapa constituency 5 on Monday, Oli said a new campaign was necessary to uplift the country from the circle of poverty. He blamed the past victories by Nepali Congress, despite securing majority in election, had failed to prosper the country.
"We cannot let the country remain in this underdeveloped situation any more. That is why UML and the Maoists have come together in this election," Oli said. Oli claimed the government formed after the election would start campaign for overall development of the country.
Oli also stressed on removing the 33 percent reservation system for women and other communities by uplifting their standards. "We will work for the development of women and all other communities. If everyone's status is uplifted, the reservation system will be removed," he said.
The former PM also said there was a strong need for voters education due to the alliance between the parties.
