Left alliance holds key to development: Oli, Dahal
CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have claimed that the left alliance is essential for the development of country.CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal have claimed that the left alliance is essential for the development of country.
Addressing mass meetings at Syangja Bazaar and Waling Bazaar in the district on Thursday, the leaders said that there is a need of a leftist force to form the permanent government for five years to promote development in the country.
“We haven’t formed this alliance for our personal benefit. Other parties have been scared after we forged the alliance. They fear that they may have to stay out of power for five years,” said Oli, adding that their parties have been united.
“We only have to declare the unification officially,” he added.
Echoing Oli that they would make an official announcement of the unification after the elections, Dahal said they would build a communist stronghold in the country. “Even the supporters of Nepali Congress are happy after the formation of the left alliance,” the Maoist Centre chief claimed, adding that he had advised the NC to forge unity with those parties with which they had parted ways in the past.
Oli and Dahal are currently on a joint road show which will see them address a total of 14 mass meetings across the country ahead of the upcoming polls.
