Poet Tulsi Diwas’ poem Samjhi Rakha has been turned into a song by the folk-rock band Nepathya. The song is part of Nepathya’s tenth studio album. A music video accompanying the song was released via Youtube on Sunday.

Speaking about the song, poet Diwas said, “I wrote this poem during my childhood days and was included in my debut poetry collection. I am glad to know that the poem has now been turned into a song.”

The music video to the song, filmed by KathaHaru, leads the viewer through Patan’s narrow alleys, temples and palaces. Prior to this Nepathya have already recorded several songs derived from poetry, notably Aama by Tirtha Shrestha.

Nepathya has recently released a string of songs from their tenth studio album. Samjhirakha is the fifth record from the album; prior to this, the band has released music videos of Koshiko Pani, Ho Rama Rama, Sirfula and Hami Nepali.
