The bomb was exploded targeting the vehicle carrying Bhupendra Bahadur Thapa, the CPN-UML candidate for the House of Representatives election. The blast occurred at Torakhet of Beni Municipality-2.
According to Thapa, the bomb exploded on the road some seven meters ahead of his vehicle while he was on the way to Ratnechaur after meeting party cadres at Bhakunde of Beni Municipality-2. The explosion was loud and it occurred at around 12:45 pm.
No casualties were reported in the bomb blast. A crater has formed at the spot where the bomb went off.
A police team has been deputed to the place for investigation immediately after getting information of the blast, the District Police Office stated.
Before this, an explosion was carried out targeting the Nepali Congress's House of Representatives election candidate Khambir Garbuja on November 14. RSS
