Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that communist parties in Nepal are trying to impose authoritarian rule in the country and claimed democracy will be at risk if they came to power.
Speaking at Nepali Congress election assembly in Myanglung, Terhathum district, on Monday, Deuba blamed the leftist alliance of threatening democracy. He also claimed people will be denied from their freedom of speech and movement if communists ruled the country.
Deuba said unity among the democratic forces for the safeguard of constitution and its implementation were the major challenges ahead.
