The injured are receiving treatment at the Shankhadhar Chowk-based Madhyapur Hospital, according to the police. The Congress representatives have accused the UML cadres of approaching the party cadres and picking up a quarrel while the UML's claim is that it was the NC cadres who came to have a dispute with them first.
Following the verbal exchanges, the two sides had a clash, ran away from the polling centre and hurled stones at each other upon reaching the nearby Rose Village.
The window glasses of nearly 15 houses have been broken due to the pelting of stones and the local residents are terrorised.
According to Deputy Superintendent Krishna Prasain of the Metropolitan Police Range Bhaktapur, voting is underway at the disputed polling centre and it has not been suspended.
Meanwhile, a bomb has been found under a bridge between Kaushaltar and Balkot. A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army has defused the bomb, police said. RSS
