Oli, who was visiting the hospital after registering a resounding win in the election for a federal parliament seat from Jhapa-5 and while his party was on its way to becoming the largest party, said the victory of the left alliance— UML and CPN (Maoist Centre)— in the elections held on November 26 and December 7 signalled a new era of prosperity that shall ensure development on all fronts, including health care services.
“This is a new beginning and we are starting a new campaign towards prosperity and towards good health services,” he said, adding that Nepal shall soon become a hub for quality health services. The UML chairman also congratulated the Nepal Mediciti Hospital staff for running a great facility to cater to health requirements of the public.
“Nepal could soon become a hub for quality healthcare services,” remarked Oli after taking the tour of the hospital.
Mediciti Chairperson Upendra Mahato said the hospital’s aim was to offer health services on par with the hospitals considered to be among the best in the world.
“We want our patients to benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities and highly
competent medical staff members,” he said.
Mediciti, which currently has 350 beds, plans to expand its services by becoming a 750-bed hospital in the near future. The facility offers diagnostic, medical and surgical services in neuroscience, cardiology and orthopaedics, among others.
