The CPN-UML, which has become largest party after the parliamentary and provincial elections, has warned that all the appointments made onwards by the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government will be scrapped. The CPN-UML, which has become largest party after the parliamentary and provincial elections, has warned that all the appointments made onwards by the Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government will be scrapped.
The warning comes in the wake of news coverage that political appointments have been made in Gorkhapatra Corporation and Film Development Board among others.
At a time when the people have extended support to the left alliance with the two-thirds majority in the present scenario, the new government would not support the appointments of the Deuba-led government, UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel said in a statement issued on Monday.
“This is the ill-intention of government and against the people’s verdict that the government is trying to capture the opportunity by making appointments in Gorkhapatra cooperation, Dairy Development Corporation and Film Development Board among others,” Pokharel further said.
