Kalikot
Manma, the district headquarters of Kalikot, is limping back to normal after the local administration lifted a curfew clamped in the area since Saturday to contain protests against the killing of a Myadi (temporary) policeman in police firing on Friday.
A high-level probe committee reached Manma on Monday and held talks with security officials and other stakeholders. Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased continued their agitation demanding martyr status for him, relief pay for the bereaved family, and action against the guilty.
Hari Bahadur Aidi, father of the deceased Bibek Aidi, said they would not receive the body without their demands being met.
