RPP decides to recall Urban Development Minister Giri

The RPP has written to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to sack Minister Giri from the post as per the party decision, said RPP spokesperson Bhuvan Pathak.
RPP Chairman and Deputy Prime Minister Kamal Thapa and Minister Giri had differences regarding the latter’s proposal to transfer Ramesh Prasad Singh as the secretary at the Urban Development Ministry.
Following the incident, Chairman Thapa demanded Urban Development Minister resign from the post saying that Giri tabled the proposal at the Cabinet meeting without consulting with him (Thapa).
Likewise, DPM Thapa and Minister Giri were also at loggerheads regarding the appointment of Director General of Urban Development Department.
