The programme that will run for two days is being held during IT MEET 2018 at IT Park, Banepa.
NepHack is a penetration testing competition based on the Capture the Flag (CTF) framework where different teams would compete among each other for the ultimate title. The participants will be breaking the security vulnerabilities from the questions that would be provided to them.
"NepHack isn’t just giving a platform where computer security geek gets to test their networking and security skill, but also aim to show the Nepali computer security community the prospect that are slowly becoming available to them," read a statement issued by the organisers on Tuesday.
The two-day competition has planned cash prize to its winners. The winner will bag a cash prize of Rs 20,000, followed by Rs 10,000 for the second and Rs 5,000 for the third.
"Not just the money, but some of the participants would also get a chance to work at Cynical Technology as an intern, getting a chance to broaden their knowledge on the security sector," the organisers said.
