Medical team sent to viral fever-affected areas in Humla

The District Public Health Office (DPHO) in Humla has dispatched a medical team to the areas affected by viral fever.
According to Assistant Chief District Officer Riddhi Prasad Sitaula, a six-member medical team, led by Dr Nabin Rokaya, left for Sarekghat and Rodikot on Wednesday.
Four persons have died of viral fever in Sarkeghat in the last three days while scores of others are ill in Sarkeghat and Rodikot. People in the affected areas have complained that the patients were deprived of treatment as the local health facilities were without health workers and essential medicines.
The DPHO has urged the people to care about sanitation and take nutritious food to prevent the illness and visit the nearest health facility if they feel unwell.
