Six women being taken to Saudi Arabia via India were rescued by police today.Six women being taken to Saudi Arabia via India were rescued by police today.
They were intercepted at Dharke of Dhading on Wednesday night, as they were about to board a bus to Butwal. None of the women knew each other and had been promised jobs in Saudi Arabia. They were handed over to the Maiti Nepal, an NGO for necessary consultation and action, Area Police Office Khanikhola Police Inspector Jeevan Niroula said.
Those rescued were accompanied by Prasad Biswakarma,35, of Ghorahi, Dang, Suman Paanchkote,30, of Ilam and 37-year-old Sharmila Kumari Sankata of Terhathum, who were arrested. The three had reportedly come back on leave from work in Saudi Arabia. The rescued women did not know the men too and had been given a meeting point at Dharke. RSS
