The death toll in Rautahat district due to cold waves has reached 21 after five more deaths were reported by Sunday.
A 65-year-old man died on Sunday morning due to excessive cold in the district. He has been named as Madu Hazara of Madhav Narayan-6.
Similarly, Ram Prasad Kalwar, 48, of Fatuwa Bijaypur-8, Bishwanath Paswan, 65, of Gadimai-2, Seikh Idrish, 65, of Katahariya Municipality-6 and Gugali Raut, 70, of Durga Bhagwati-3 also died on Saturday.
Police reports said most of the victims are flood affected people.
